Rallier

The TechShop/Autodesk Rallier Roadster was built by a team of brave souls, this project set out to prove that a team of mostly in-experienced people could design and build a car that cost less and gets better gas mileage then most of the cars on the market today. The car took 3 months to build and started with a citroen CV chassis and BMW engine, the entire body and interior were built at TechShop SF. The final result was a old school roadster that cost around $7,000.00 total and gets around 30 miles to the gallon.

The Car has been featured on Translogic, NPR's the Making of series, and is the winner of the BackYard Genius award from Popular Mechanics.

You can watch Blaine and I discuss it here on Maker Camp.
